It looks like they’re going ahead with the PATHWAYS trial after all, despite the heroic efforts of James Esses and others to put a stop to it. Baroness Doctor Hillary Cass has posted an eleven-page apologia for the trial, which makes for eye-opening reading. We don’t need a trial. We already know what puberty blockers do. They stunt normal human growth and development. That’s not a side effect. The treatment is the harm.

A recent study published in Research Connections raises some troubling questions about “gender-affirming care” for Oregon youths. The study authors utilized data from the COMAGINE database, which includes claims for all medical services and prescriptions paid for by participating health plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. The results were shocking.

On 18 July 2026, NBC News ran a heartbreaking story about a “transgender girl” who committed suicide. Let’s examine what happened. A twelve-year-old autistic boy had trouble fitting in, as autistic children often do. He was prescribed so-called antidepressants, which are known to cause worsening depression and suicidality. A year later he came out as “transgender.” His parents enabled him in this delusion and drove him to take wrong-sex hormones (literally).

Pediatrician and UCSF Chancellor Sam Hawgood’s recent congressional testimony has been blowing up the internet, as it should. The good doctor testified (under oath) that “the vast majority of pregnancies are in women.” When Representative Randy Fine asked him “Who has the other pregnancies?” Dr. Hawgood paled and looked like a little boy sent to the principal’s office for the first time. This guy is not stupid. You don’t get to a position like that by being stupid.

Now we get to the all-important question: which bathroom should “transgender people” use? A popular meme on X (where I spend way too much time) depicts a character with a long shaggy beard and asks the (presumably rhetorical) question: Do you want this person to use the women’s room? Now we have no way of knowing the person depicted is a woman. But’s let’s just assume for argument’s sake that the person is, actually, a woman.

Amnesty International has weighed in on the recent Supreme Court ruling in the case of a boy pretending to be a girl who demanded to be allowed to compete in girls’ track and field.

On Monday 29 June, STAT featured an article titled “Banning Gender-Affirming Care Doesn’t Protect Children” by Kavitah Ranganathan, M.D. Dr. Ranganathan is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School, a plastic surgeon at Mass General, and a former member of the Board of Directors of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, so whatever he has to say about this subject is worth paying attention to.
