The Jaecoo J5 EV inches closer to being launched with Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia today announcing that bookings for the electric SUV are now open, with estimated pricing at RM125,000. This comes on the day the company is celebrating 30,000 deliveries since it introduced its first model two years ago in July 2024. At that estimated price, the J5 EV is RM17,000 more than its petrol-powered sibling that comes in a single 2WD variant priced at RM108,000 nett without on-the-road costs and insurance.

Mattel has once again collaborated with 7-Eleven on a new Hot Wheels diecast car, this time with the Nissan GT-R (R35) in the spotlight – production of the modern ‘Godzilla’ ended last year. This follows last year’s (A80) Toyota Supra, which was the first-ever diecast car to be part of the 7-Eleven x Hot Wheels collection. However, the Supra from that collection was not officially sold in Malaysia, so the GT-R is the first from the partnership between both major brands to be offered here.

BYD’s Denza has posted the first official images of the Z9S, a new electric sedan that will join the line-up under the existing Z9, the latter also offered as a wagon called Z9GT which went on sale in Malaysia yesterday. Measuring 5,090 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,490 mm tall and with a wheelbase of 3,025 mm, the Z9S’s overall length and wheelbase are down by 145 mm and 100 mm respectively when compared to the Z9.
