The PCtip is the best-selling and most-read Swiss PC magazine. It first appeared as a PCtip in 1994 as an IT supplement to the Zurich daily newspaper Tages-Anzeiger in cooperation with the IT publisher IDG - initially once a quarter, later 10 times a year. The supplement became bigger, became independent in 1997 and was published by the IT-Fachverlag IDG alone. Since the redesign on the occasion of issue 10/2003 the magazine PCtipp (with two p ) is written. Meanwhile, the PCtip appears14 times a year - including two special issues on topics such as photography, Android or Top 100 products. The magazine has a WEMF - certified circulation of 46'034 (previous year: 48'419) sold or 52'157 (previous year: 56'535) distributed copies and a range of 205'000 (previous year 217'000 ) Readers (WEMF MACH Basic 2018-II) especially in German-speaking Switzerland, but also in German-speaking countries.
