School of Rock, the leader in performance-based music education, is bringing its prestigious 2025 AllStars Tour to Portland for a performance on Tuesday, July 22 at Polaris Hall. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with the show starting at 6:30 p.m. The tour showcases 148 of the most talented School of Rock students from around the globe, representing less than 1% of enrolled students, who have been selected to perform in this immersive, professional-level summer tour.

This summer trend is so hot — it’s ice cold. We’re talking about dirty sodas. No, dirty sodas aren’t the cans of cola that fell on the floor while you were stocking the garage fridge. Dirty sodas are essentially a mix of carbonated soda beverages, syrup flavorings (similar to those at your coffee shop or snow cone stand), and flavored coffee creamer. For those of you a little old school, think of it like a fancy Italian soda with flat cream, not whipped.

Don’t get me wrong, I loooove a u-cut tree farm, but after spending over $100 on a Christmas tree this year that will inevitably find its way to the compost, I started to look for a more affordable option—and found it. Next year, I tell my husband, we’re cutting down our tree like actual lumberjacks in the forest. He’s skeptical, but I’ll convince him. Here’s my pitch.
