Solenn Heussaff’s recent artworks hit differently. They ask you to pause, to truly look, and then look again. She sees them as echoes of her earlier works. Kundiman (2021), her ode to the Pinoys, bursts with color and details. Vita (2024), her collaboration with French-Filipino contemporary artist Olivia d’Aboville, glows in vivid hues. Her latest, Into the Unseen Garden, feels like a quiet unraveling. It is pensive, somewhat restless, but is also alive with striking contrasts.
