After a loaded midweek slate full of Group-of-Six action, the college football weekend kicks off Friday night with a five-pack of FBS games from the east coast all the way out west. Kicking off the night will be a standalone ACC showdown between Florida State and Louisville, as the Cardinals are in the midst of a two-game losing streak, while the Seminoles have won as many games in a row.

UFC Fight Night 290 is scheduled for Saturday, October 10th, at the META Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The NFL closes Week 5 with a potential Game of the Year candidate as the last two NFL MVPs battle it out in Los Angeles. Josh Allen and the Bills (+3) take on Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams with the total sitting at an enormous 54.5. The Bills are coming off their first loss of the season to division rival New England Patriots, while the Rams squeaked out a win over longtime foe Philadelphia Eagles.

It's hard to believe, but we've already reached Week 5 in the 2026 NFL season, and it gets started tonight with an NFC matchup between the Buccaneers and Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. It's been a horror start for the Bucs, who are 0-4 and will be without quarterback Baker Mayfield for the next few weeks. As for the Cowboys, they are 2-2 but just earned a huge comeback victory over the Texans, while their offense is seemingly scoring for fun.

Buccaneers-Cowboys on Thursday Night Football looked much better back in Week 1. Since then, the Buccaneers have dropped all four games and have lost their franchise quarterback, Baker Mayfield, who injured his thumb and may be out longer than expected. On the other side, the Cowboys are 2-2 with an offense that is on a historic pace.

Week 5 of the NFL season kicks off with Thursday Night Football between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys at Jerry World in Dallas. The Bucs are one of the last remaining winless teams at 0-4, while the Cowboys are 2-2 after defeating Houston this past weekend. I kicked off Week 4 by cashing my +750 Steelers vs Browns Same Game Parlay on Thursday Night Football and then hit again at +650 on Monday Night Football with my Falcons vs Saints Same Game Parlay.

September is great because the college football season resumes in full at the beginning of the month, but October is equally as awesome, if not more, because we get college football throughout the week this month. On Thursday in Week 6, we will be treated to four conference games, two from Conference USA, one from the American and one from the Sun Belt.

All four matchups in the division series headline the MLB postseason schedule on Wednesday. It’s Dodgers vs Braves, Brewers vs Padres, Rays vs Yankees and Guardians vs White Sox. Here are my best bets, and also make sure to check out our MLB picks for predictions throughout the 2026 playoffs. Chicago White Sox ML over Cleveland Guardians (-120) It will be bullpen day for both teams. Each club was stellar in the ‘pen department throughout the regular season, and that has continued in the playoffs.

The NFL is a quarter of the way through the season as we kick off Week 5 with Thursday Night Football. The Dallas Cowboys (-8.5) are hosting the Baker-less Tampa Bay Buccaneers under the lights of Jerry World. For the Cowboys, they are coming off an impressive road victory over the Houston Texans while the Bucs nearly pulled off an upset over the Green Bay Packers with rookie QB Jalon Daniels at the helm.
