MARVEL’S WOLVERINE is the best at what it does, and what it does is press Square and Triangle and L1 again, again and again. September 11, 2026 1:00 AM Wolverine is an interesting character. The anti-hero has been the star of films, countless comics and video games. He’s rough and violent and troubled and has a heart of gold.
My dad plays tactical games every day and watching him play STAR WARS ZERO COMPANY made me appreciate why
Experiencing this together unlocked cherished memories of a childhood by his side, and created new ones. September 6, 2026 12:00 PM I first heard about STAR WARS ZERO COMPANY after SIFTER had already assigned our review to Adam Christou. This was for the best – I have rarely dipped my toes into the turn-based genre, and a game of this calibre deserved someone with more than just obscure Star Wars knowledge. It did, however, immediately make me think of my dad.

Art questioning art in TORMENTUM II
This point and click is anything but simple. September 3, 2026 7:00 PM If you were to ask me who my ‘maker’ is, there is a surprising amount of answers I could choose to give you. An all-knowing being, a DNA sequence, people who have shaped my life – I would probably just answer my parents. So that prompts the question: who is the maker of art? As I write this piece and take on the title of its maker, do I become a parent? Or even more dramatically, a god?
ORBITALS feels like if Portal was a retro anime
Holding space for fantastic minigames. September 1, 2026 7:00 PM I didn’t realise how badly I needed another multiplayer co-op game like Portal 2 until starting up ORBITALS with my girlfriend.
BEAST OF REINCARNATION is stunning game but misses the mark on story and heart
Nothing like a girl and her dog saving the world. September 1, 2026 9:00 AM An action-RPG about a girl and her dog, set in a beautiful overgrown world? Sign me up. I enjoyed my time playing BEAST OF REINCARNATION, despite my grievances about the story and its pacing. Made by Game Freak, the developers of the Pokémon games, this is a huge departure from what we know of their work, and it takes us into a brand-new world and story.

STAR WARS: ZERO COMPANY is a kriffing good time in a galaxy, far, far away
An intergalactic ride for Star Wars and Tactics fans alike. It’s midnight and I can’t put down the controller. Captain Tesh Hawks is pinned down in a corner, dodging blaster fire that's zinging past their helmet, and I’m laser-focused on the couch, replaying Star Wars: Zero Company on the hardest available difficulty. It's early in the campaign and our ragtag crew has next to no credits to our name, limited options and is understaffed. Tonight’s mission?
HELIX: DESCENT N ASCENT is a masterclass in the art of complicated simplicity
A game full of dualities. I am contained in a seedling pod, dangling from a tree, swaying in safe solitude. Suddenly this solace is broken as I am unceremoniously dropped, cracked open upon black and white, age-worn tiles and birthed into a new world of similarly monochrome tones. Hanging out. This scene marked the start of my descent (and subsequent ascent) into the world of Helix. Immediately awed by its art and framing, I carried this sense of fresh wonder through every puzzle.
