Pneuma Review
VerifiedOnline/Digital
The Pneuma Foundation started as a dream of some brothers in the Lord to see an increase in balanced biblical teaching from a Pentecostal/charismatic perspective. The founders and the early participants in the ministry were friends in the Western Michigan area who met through occupational and ministry settings. Through growing friendship they realized that although they disagreed on secondary issues, they were unified on the entire core of evangelical belief. Together they saw that there were not many biblical resources that emphasized the gifts of the Spirit for today. Pentecostal/charismatic studies existed, but they were predominately aimed for an academic audience. Source

Choosing Peace in a World of Ragebait
On September 10, 2025, the nation was stunned when popular conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated in Utah. In the months that followed, a deeply disturbing trend emerged. Social media was flooded with posts that did not merely report the tragedy, but openly mocked it. What should have been a moment of sober reflection became, for many, an opportunity for cruelty. Sadly, this behavior was not confined to one side of the political spectrum.

The End of an Era? Does Skopos Theory Spell the End of the “Free vs. Literal” Paradigm?
Introduction While most discussion of Bible translations take place around the traditional “free vs. literal” debate, modern, non-Biblical translation theory has become suspicious of such easy dichotomies (e.g. Pym 1997: 39).
New look and new server
After a great deal of work, PneumaReview.com has finally moved to a new server with a new look and an updated software stack behind it to run things. Thank you to everyone that tested pages and looked things over before the cutover. Special thanks to my brother, Tony Mock, and to Dave Meyer who assisted in some key ways to ensure this transition could happen. Spot anything that is not quite right? Jackie Pullinger at Harvard
| May 11, 2026 | no comments This year from March 26th through March 29th a gathering called Faith & Veritas 2026 was held at Harvard University. The official website for this conference (https://faithandveritas.law.harvard.edu/) says that the participants in this conference include: “Harvard alumni, faculty, chaplains, and students.” Many noteworthy speakers were brought in for this multi-day event. One of the speakers was of particular interest to me, the veteran missionary, Jackie Pullinger.
