The big-name movies keep rolling out this season, and this weekend is no exception with four new movies – three of which already have quite a bit of name recognition.

It’s been a number of years since there was a new Middle-earth film out in theaters, but that will change this weekend.

December is upon us! This month will see a number of big movies getting their releases before the end of the year, as well as those last few holiday movies.

There’s only one new movie out this week as we celebrate Thanksgiving here in the U.S. Premiering this weekend is a follow-up to 2016’s successful animated film Moana, following the titular character and her friends on a new adventure three years since we last saw them.

Plenty of new movies are out this weekend featuring properties new and old, with something sure to catch your interest. There is a documentary about a fearless CNN camerawoman who captured footage of war zones, a followup to 2000’s highly successful Roman action flick Gladiator, a film based on the massively successful musical Wicked, and much more! A father and son working as security guards for an armored truck company encounter a team of would-be robbers while on a bridge.

The weekend fast approaches, and that means a fresh slate of new movies.
