CBS’s hit Friday night crime dramas are both off the schedule for the night, as CBS will be turning over its primetime lineup to March Madness. That’s right, on March 20, CBS will be bringing fans a double-header of March Madness coverage, which kicks off at 7 p.m. ET.

It’s pilot season time, which means networks are casting new projects, hoping to win a place in the fall TV season. Among them is NBC’s upcoming reboot ofThe Rockford Files. The original 1970s series starred James Garner as Jim Rockford, an ex-con turned private eye. A long-running hit that earned Garner an Emmy award, the show was a template for every private eye series that followed. This new version keeps the same plotline with David Boreanaz of Bones and SEAL Team fame as the new Rockford.
