August 19, 2026 By PrintAction Staff Comix.one collaborates with HP’s Graphics Solutions Business and its global print service providers network to deliver a print-on-demand service for independent comic book creators. To be launched in late August, the fans of independent comics in multiple countries will be able to order a printed copy of a digital comic they like from the platform. The books will be printed, packaged and shipped exclusively for each reader.

X-Rite Pantone releases Exact 2 Basic, a portable spectrophotometer. The Exact 2 Basic is designed for commercial print production, combining density and L*a*b* colour measurement in a standalone handheld device. “Reliable colour starts with accurate measurement, but it doesn’t end there,” said Nick Meyer, business unit director, print and packaging at X-Rite Pantone.

Toronto-based L & K Industries installs a new Canon Colorado M5-series roll-to-roll printing system, equipped with the Flexa UD170/RD170 Motorized Unwinder & Rewinder jumbo roll system. Since 1994, L & K Industries has established itself as a converter and distributor of specialized plastic films across Ontario.
