Robinhood (Nasdaq:HOOD) launched the public mainnet of its new blockchain on July 1, and unfortunately, tons of people are already losing money trading its coins. Bad actors are using a variety of scam contracts, memecoin rug-pulls, phishing links, and garden variety theft, leading to complaints of loss flooding onto social media.

Meta (Nasdaq:META) executives and directors have unloaded roughly $130 million of company stock over the past six months. Across the same half year, they have bought exactly zero shares. That selling might have been more palatable if they had, as executives and directors, helped the stock price go up over that time period. They did not. META, trading on the Nasdaq, is worth less today than it was six months ago.

STRC by Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) is now offering investors more than 28% upside potential if it returns to par and pays its dividends over the next year. But investors keep selling it anyway. Over the last week, STRC has declined 2% and is down 11% in 30 days. These sales in the face of Strategy’s generous offer are votes of diminishing confidence in management, including founder Michael Saylor.

Tesla became one of the early firms to embrace BTC, adding it to its balance sheet in 2021; however, it all but abandoned this initiative, and the total value of its holdings has fallen by two-thirds, despite BTC appreciating by more than 30%. During this same period Elon Musk, the founder and leader of Tesla, has gone from a frequent cryptocurrency promoter to someone who rarely mentions or endorses it.

Prosecutors in Wisconsin and New York are growing frustrated with stablecoin giant Circle after it repeatedly ignored law enforcement requests and court orders trying to recover stolen funds. The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) detailed how the firm is facing criminal complaints and referrals to Congress over its inability to take action when asked to help recover funds.

GoPro, the action camera maker once worth more than $10 billion, just announced that founder Nicholas Woodman will extend $20 million in financing to keep his company afloat. That’s the Nicholas Woodman who previously made over $284 million in a single 12-month span, making him the highest paid chief executive in the US that year. Still a billionaire today, thanks to years of GoPro stock and compensation, Woodman is slowly becoming its lender of last resort.

Nasdaq halted trading in Sadot Group (SDOT) five times this morning as its shares collapsed as much as 72% from yesterday’s close. The plunge followed a report from short-seller Fugazi Research, which declared that the company has “no meaningful fundamental value and is unsuitable for investment.” The Nasdaq-listed agri-food company, once a burger chain known as Muscle Maker Grill, still has large financial obligations and evidently collapsing investor confidence.

Justin Sun’s NFT marketplace, AINFT, and his memecoin platform, Sun Pump, are doing terribly, selling just four NFTs and launching 57 tokens in the past 30 days. AINFT, which describes itself as “The Biggest NFT Trading Platform on TRON,” only facilitated two NFT sales this week. The NFT marketplace was originally launched as APENFT in 2021 before rebranding with an added nod to AI in 2025. Today, the marketplace is a ghost town.

Crypto exchange AscendEx has announced the cessation of its operations “with effect from 1 July 2026.” In a letter dated July 6, it cited a lack of an EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) licence, “as well as broader regulatory, financial and operational considerations affecting the platform.” However, towards the end of the letter, AscendEx reveals that it “relied on an agreed strategic transaction… and the counterparty did not perform.” The news comes almost two weeks after...

Tomorrow marks one year since memecoin platform Pump Fun announced that an airdrop for its PUMP token would be “coming soon.” Users are still waiting. The promise was made on July 9, 2025, during a Pump Fun marketing push that tried to paint itself as a competitor against social media giants Facebook, TikTok, and Twitch. It also announced its ICO of the platform’s token, PUMP, which is now down almost 75% since its launch almost a year ago.
