Something remarkable is happening across the country. The high school class of 2026 set the highest Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion rate on record. 59.1% of seniors completed the form, outpacing the previous record of 54.4% set by the class of 2018, by the June 30th milestone traditionally used to measure year-over-year progress. In a moment when education headlines are often discouraging, this is worth celebrating.
