We have a pretty good idea where Secretary of State Marco Rubio stands on policy, but what is he really like behind the scenes? Rubio and his wife recently sat down for an interview on Katie Miller's podcast (Katie is the wife of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller). The show put aside politics for a bit and veered into the personal. We know he thinks the couch memes are funny and doesn't like to eat keto.

It's tempting to point a finger at the city of Seattle and tell the residents of that troubled town, "Well, what did you expect?" The city elected a new mayor, Katie Wilson, from the lunatic ranks of the "democratic socialists" (commies) and now she is proving to be utterly incompetent. Crime is on the uptick, and now, after Mayor Wilson has been in office only a few months, there is already a recall petition circulating. The Seattle Police Officers Guild (SPOG) chief, Kent Loux, is not surprised.

As speaker of the House, Mike Johnson (LA-04) is naturally keeping a close eye on the midterm elections. Republicans only have the slimmest of House majorities as it stands – the current split is 219R-212D (with four vacancies) – so the chamber could easily flip come November's elections.

Colorado's increasing leftward tilt has been something people have been watching and commenting on for years. I moved to Colorado in 1988, and even then, when Colorado was still, for the most part, South Wyoming, people were beginning to complain about the influx of leftists, mostly from California. That trend accelerated through the 1990s and early 2000s, transforming Colorado from South Wyoming to East California. Now, though, the TURBO button has been hit.

We have a lot of cloudy days in our corner of south-central Alaska. We're all familiar with cloudy days, and we all understand the one thing about cloudy days: They tend to be cooler than sunny days. Now a new research project has quantified the effect cloud cover has on climate, how it changes the albedo of the atmosphere, and how that change in albedo is likely greater than the greenhouse gas effect from water vapor in the atmosphere.

The more we learn about Dr. Anthony Fauci, the more troubling the picture of his career becomes. It's become abundantly clear that he was not a man of science, but a backdrop manipulator, a purveyor of bad advice, a self-promoter, who managed to make himself one of the wealthiest men in government service. It seems that Anthony Fauci, post-retirement, got himself involved in countries other than China, and managed to get American taxpayer funding for at least one of his post-retirement efforts.

President Donald Trump used a lengthy Truth Social post early Saturday to accuse the National Trust for Historic Preservation and an individual plaintiff of committing treason by suing to block construction of his White House ballroom, claiming the lawsuit exposed classified military security features of the project.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed an emergency appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday asking it to overturn a lower court ruling that halted construction on the new White House ballroom.

Having failed to gain enough traction on the Air Force One rope-a-dope story from earlier in the week, the legacy media –  in its never ending quest for a "gotcha story" on President Trump – has made a hard pivot and is now focused on the conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln.
