Welcome to Tête de Bulle by Lyn M. Archer.
This site offers my insights as a writer, storyteller, image maker, and self-avowed bubblehead.
My credentials include Bourgogne and Champagne Master Level and French Wine Specialist designations from the Wine Scholar Guild.
Additionally, I’m a graduate of the UW Photography certification program, Errazuritz Wine Photography award winner, and a 67 Pall Mall Wine Communicator Awards short-lister.
In short, I’ve spent a ridiculous amount of time studying, discovering, and contributing to publications worldwide.
Tête de Bulle allows me a platform —and the freedom — to tell stories in my own voice.
Sometimes I review bubbles, including champagne, prosecco, cava, crémant and “wildcard” regions worldwide.
Here’s the informal review guide:
🍾 = Fun
🍾🍾 = Premier
🍾🍾🍾 = Grand
🍾🍾🍾🍾 = Exceptional
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾 = Stellar
Other times, I delve into visual storytelling, and/or short and long-form writing.
Ultimately, Tête de Bulle reflects a deeply personal journey, one I hope resonates with you. We’re all in this together.
In gratitude,
Lyn Source

Author’s Note: This past week, I learned of the demise of Tom Wark’s “The Spill” on Substack. “The Spill” served as more than a news aggregate site. Rather, it championed excellent writing by both established and emerging industry voices. Earlier this year, I featured Tom for my inaugural “Spill the Tea” interview series, showcasing fellow Substack creatives.

Crémant de Bourgogne is always a good choice, because it's a very versatile sparkling. It can please connoisseurs, or people who just discover the bubbles." -Etienne Godard, La Compagnie de Burgondie
Gut check
When I first founded Tête de Bulle, I wanted to create a community centered around bubbles, with fellow bubbleheads. But life has a funny way of changing plans. Last autumn, I enrolled in the UW Photography Certificate program. I did so to thinking it would help amplify my wine, food and travel storytelling. Instead, the program opened a window to views beyond my usual rubrics. I am learning to story-tell with a new voice. Consequently, I’ve slowly moved towards new horizon lines.
