Highlights • In Egypt, 1 million vulnerable people were provided with a sufficient quantity and quality of water for drinking and domestic needs. • In Jordan, 76,366 women, girls and boys were supported with accessing GBV risk mitigation, prevention and/or response interventions. • In Türkiye, 933,492 children were supported with accessing formal or non-formal education, including early learning. • Despite generous support from our donors, 50 per cent of UNICEF’s response remained unfunded in 2025.

Attachments (PDF | 1.31 MB) SITUATION OVERVIEW Typhoon Sinlaku triggered a state‑wide humanitarian emergency in Chuuk State after remaining over the lagoon area for approximately three days (9–12 April). During this period, the system intensified from a tropical depression (29 mph) to a Category 5 super typhoon, reaching peak winds of 177 mph on 13 April while still in proximity to Chuuk, before moving toward the Marianas.

It focuses on fixing the “last mile” problem—where supplies often fail to reach health facilities—leading to shortages, waste, and poor health outcomes. To solve this, the project will deploy a digital system called PIMS across 1,200 health facilities.
