The Richmond Register is a six-day daily newspaper based in Richmond, Kentucky, and covering Madison County. It publishes in the afternoons, Tuesday through Thursday, and in the mornings on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Register is owned by Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.
In January 2006, the Kentucky Press Association named the Register best newspaper in the state in its circulation division, based on the number of awards won in the "Daily Class 1" division (for the smallest daily newspapers by circulation) of the KPA's 2005 Excellence In Kentucky Newspapers contest. The first hurricane of the Atlantic season made landfall at near Destin, Florida, the Miami-based National Hurricane Center said. It had maximum sustained winds of 105 mph (169 kph).

Saturday canvassing to spread word about Hope for Central Kentucky
RICHMOND, Ky. (KT) – Volunteers will take Hope for Central Kentucky into Richmond neighborhoods Saturday afternoon, delivering information to 2,500 homes ahead of the November evangelistic campaign. Coroner: Richmond woman's death caused by medical incident, not crash
78-year-old Linda S. Moberly has been confirmed dead after a crash in downtown Richmond this morning. Around 10:00 A.M. Moberly struck a utility pole on Lancaster Avenue, knocking out power for a sizeable number of businesses and residents in the area. Chief Deputy Coroner Carlos Coyle told the Register that Moberly suffered a medical incident before the crash.
