On Bob Weir
“I guess the older I get the more dead people I’m gonna know.”—Rickie Lee Jones I met Bob Weir in San Francisco, back in the years I was playing with bassist Rob Wasserman. Rob and I met in 1983 and recorded a couple of songs for his second album which actually didn’t come out until 1988. Duets became so successful that Rob got to call his own shots, he worked with many cultural musical heroes of the time, adventurers and pirates, like me, and Lou Reed, and Bobby Weir.
Road Diary

It’s just outside of Chicago near the university. We stayed in a different hotel and just that much I was able to experience a whole different perspective of the area.
