Eagles won the gold medals when defeating Class on Grass with a score of 78 and three skins. Class on Grass received silver when finishing with 39 and one skin. The Dragons secured the bronze medals when beating the Replacements 75 – 69, taking two skins to the Replacements’ two.

During a consultation session held on April 9 in Ward 12, eMbalenhle, residents raised serious concerns about service delivery and accused the municipality of failing to fulfil its previous commitments.

Motorcyclist knocked over by vehicle in Secunda CBD. Photo supplied Emergency services responded to an accident involving a 60/60 delivery motorcycle and vehicle at the traffic lights intersection of PDP Kruger Street and Oliver Tambo drive across from the Sasol garage today (April 16), at around 8:40. The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital by ER24 for further treatment of minor injuries. The cause of the accident is being investigated.
Amazing Grace Academy shines at Gert Sibande debate

Photo: Supplied Amazing Grace Academy (AGA) participated in the Gert Sibande Debate competition, hosted by Thistle Groove Friends of the Library at the Kinross Sasol Club on March 25, where they competed against 11 other schools. AGA secured a second place overall. The school’s Beverly Chari was named best speaker of the day and was awarded a laptop for her outstanding performance.

Dié twee het dus saam al 200 eenhede bloed geskenk. Hulle volg in die voetspore van hul oorlede pa, ook Frans, wat in sy leeftyd meer as 100 eenhede bloed geskenk het.

Photo: Mphikeleli Masangu The EFF proportional representative councillor, Daniel Khoza, has raised concerns over the repeated allocation of R5m in the budget and Integrated Development Plan (IDP) for the rebuilding of Ext 25 municipal offices, which have not yet been reconstructed. Khoza made the remarks during a council meeting of the Govan Mbeki Municipality held on March 25.

Buiten die stalletjies wat heerlike kos en drinkgoed verkoop het, kon mense die skyngeveg tussen die ‘Boere’ en ‘Britte’, wat sowat 6km buite Val plaasgevind het, kyk.

According to the municipality, the visit forms part of its ongoing commitment to monitor key infrastructure and economic development projects aimed at boosting local growth and improving service delivery.

The six-a-side league gold was won by team No Name when beating Balls and Dolls (silver) 33-26. Bronze went to Mix Berries, who beat Court Crew 37-4. In the mixed category, Mavericks Netball took gold over U19 IPT Mixed (2026), silver, 30-26. Netball Newbies took bronze when beating Fast and Flawless 23-22.
