Ukraine Hit 2 Large Russia-Linked Oil Tankers in Black Sea
Ukrainian naval drones hit two large Russia-linked oil tankers in the Black Sea as Moscow and Kyiv expand the scope of their mutual maritime strikes. The Security Service of Ukraine and the Navy attacked the tankers Louise 1 and Banda, the Kyiv-based intelligence service said in a Telegram statement on Thursday. Both vessels are under Ukrainian sanctions and have been carrying Russian crude for export from the nation’s ports on the Black and Baltic Seas, according to the statement.

USA Crude Oil Stocks Drop Almost 2MM Barrels WoW
U.S. commercial crude oil inventories, excluding those in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR), dropped by 1.7 million barrels from the week ending July 3 to the week ending July 10. That’s what the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) highlighted in its latest weekly petroleum status report, which was released on July 15 and included data for the week ending July 10.
India Bars Seafarers from Hormuz Voyages
India has directed ship owners, ship managers and recruitment agencies to stop deploying the country’s seafarers on vessels going through the Strait of Hormuz following an upsurge in attacks. Among precautions, there should be no deployment of Indian crew members on vessels undertaking voyages through the waterway “until further orders,” the Directorate General of Shipping said in a post on X late Wednesday.
