Q2 2026 delivered strong 10 percent revenue growth in both local currencies and reported figures compared to last year with a record high revenue of 1,000 MEUR. Revenue growth was driven by higher volumes, including market share gains in flat roof projects, supported by narrowing pricing gaps to competing insulation materials.
ROCKWOOL acquires Swedish company to further strengthen sustainable melting technologies
As part of a longstanding collaboration, ROCKWOOL acquired a minority stake in ScanArc several years ago. The full acquisition announced today deepens this collaboration and supports ROCKWOOL’s roadmap to decarbonise its production. Enabling fossil-free melting with electricity ScanArc’s plasma technology plays an important role in converting existing ROCKWOOL factories to an electric melting solution that enables us to use low-carbon electricity instead of fossil fuels.

The Russian authorities have placed ROCKWOOL's four Russian factories under external administration. ROCKWOOL calls it indisputably illegal. In connection with the appointment of an external management team, ROCKWOOL CEO Jes Munk Hansen says: “What we are seeing is an obvious breach of all international rules. It is indisputably illegal by any standard. We intend to use all legal avenues to defend our assets and prevent them from falling into Russian hands”.
