As revealed in Rolling Stone‘s recent U2 cover story, Bono is a huge Rosalía fan — so huge that he wrote a song about her, ‘The Mirror Maker (Rosalía),’ for U2’s upcoming album,  Carnaval De Luz, and texted to ask her for permission. In a new interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Rosalía told her side of the story. “I don’t know Bono,” she told Jimmy Fallon. “But he texted me. And he told me that he had this new project, this new song.

As Florence Road today share soaring new single ‘Wish Upon You’ and reveal their biggest UK and European tour dates for 2027, the Irish band have spoken to Rolling Stone UK about the track, trusting their instincts, and how Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder helped them out of a tight spot on a recent US tour. The Wicklow-raised four-piece have been gaining significant traction over the last few years, through an indie-rock sound that is both muscular and angelic.

The artwork for Madra Salach’s debut album, Gorta, is equal parts gorgeous and troubling. Created by Irish artist Oscar Torrans, it depicts a face that is gleaming but also in clear distress. Beams of light – or perhaps water – pour into its open and featureless mouth as the figure appears to disintegrate. The art’s inspiration is an amalgam of two dark and somewhat disturbing mythological creatures. One of these is the Irish medieval sculptures known as Sheela na gigs.

Pet Shop Boys were awarded a Legend Award at the 15th anniversary Attitude Awards in London last night, presented by Sir Ian McKellen. McKellen, who appeared in the legendary duo’s 1988 video for ‘Heart’ as a vampire, shared his love and admiration for the duo when presenting them with the award.
