2026 Maruti Baleno Maruti Suzuki has launched new Baleno in India, with prices starting at Rs 6.10 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings have opened for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The updated premium hatchback brings a refreshed exterior, more features, Level 2 ADAS and a new Z12E petrol engine with improved fuel efficiency. While Baleno retains its familiar overall proportions, Maruti has made substantial changes to the equipment package.

Maruti Fronx India’s leading passenger vehicle manufacturers registered strong year-on-year growth in August 2026, with combined domestic sales of the top six OEMs reaching 4,13,329 units. This was an increase of 36.50% over 3,02,814 units sold by the same six manufacturers in August 2025. Maruti Suzuki retained a commanding lead, while Tata Motors and Mahindra occupied the second and third positions respectively. Hyundai remained fourth, followed by Kia and Toyota.

New Tata Osprey SUV Launch In addition to launching the OSPREY in South Africa, Tata has also unveiled its new global TATA.CARS retail brand As part of plans to boost presence in South Africa, Tata has introduced the Nexon at a starting price of ZAR 2,49,900 (Rs 14.80 lakh). Nexon goes on sale in South Africa as ‘Osprey’. It is based on the Osprey migratory bird of prey, known for its endurance and agility.

Sorento is Kia’s No. 3 global bestselling model and is available in more than 132 countries. Over 4.8 million units have been sold globally since it was first introduced in 2002. In India, Kia Sorento will primarily compete with Toyota Fortuner.

2026 Royal Enfield Himalayan 440 Royal Enfield has launched Himalayan 440 in India at Rs 2.29 lakh, ex-showroom. The motorcycle marks ten years of Himalayan and brings back the simpler adventure-tourer formula associated with the original Himalayan 411. Bookings for Himalayan 440 are now open. It will be sold alongside the newer Himalayan 450 rather than replacing it.

Kia Syros Flex Fuel Kia has showcased Syros Flex Fuel Vehicle (FFV) Concept in India, marking the company’s first flex-fuel car for the country. The concept was displayed alongside new Carnival Hybrid and Carens CNG at Kia Sorento launch event today and demonstrates the brand’s readiness for India’s expected transition towards higher ethanol-blended fuels. Syros Flex Fuel Concept can operate on pure petrol, pure ethanol and different ethanol-petrol blends in between.
