BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Samford junior first baseman Jackson Harris has been named one of just three finalists at his position for the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Division I Gold Glove Award, the association announced Monday afternoon. The finalists at first base include Harris, Mulivai Levu of UCLA and Erik Paulsen of North Carolina. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winners in all divisions will be announced on Wednesday, June 17 via X by Rawlings Sporting Goods (@RawlingsSports).

EUGENE, Ore. – Samford sophomore Bradley Franklin advanced to the national finals in the men's 110-meter hurdles Wednesday evening at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Oregon. Franklin ran the semifinal race in 13.29 seconds to finish second in his heat, which automatically advances him to the finals. The finals of the men's 110-meter hurdles are scheduled for Friday at 7:42 p.m. (CT).

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –The kickoff time for the Samford football team's game at Auburn on Nov. 21 was announced by the Southeastern Conference Wednesday evening. The game will kick off at 2:30 p.m. at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The contest can be seen live on SECN+. This will mark the 31st all-time meeting between Samford and Auburn in football. The teams have met a few times within the last 15 years, with the teams playing in 2023, 2019, 2014 and 2011.

EUGENE, Ore. – Samford sophomore Bradley Franklin will compete in the men's 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships this week at the University of Oregon. Franklin advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships by running the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 13.25 seconds at the NCAA East Preliminaries earlier this month. Franklin also competed at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the men's 60-meter hurdles back in March, finishing second in the nation.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Samford men's tennis are ranked No. 72 nationally in the final ITA rankings released this month. This is the first time since 2013 that the Bulldogs have finished a season ranked nationally. They were consistently ranked throughout the season with their highest ranking being No.66 the week of March 17th. ITA also ranked the Bulldogs at No.6 in their region, sitting atop of Troy, JSU, North Alabama and ULM.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Samford sophomore Bradley Franklin advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the men's 110-meter hurdles with his performance at the NCAA East Preliminaries Friday evening at the University of Kentucky. Franklin ran the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 13.25 seconds, winning his heat and finishing third overall. He will now compete in the NCAA Championships, which will be held in Eugene, Oregon, June 10-13.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. –The kickoff time for Samford's football game at UAB on Oct. 3, has been set for 2:30 p.m. at Protective Stadium, UAB announced Friday. The game will air live on ESPN+. Samford and UAB have met just one previous time in football. The only previous meeting came on Oct. 31, 1992, when UAB was a Division III program. Samford won that earlier meeting by a score of 49-3 at Samford. The 2026 season will mark the beginning of the John Grass era for Samford football.
