Alumni Chapel | Friday, November 6, 7 p.m. The Boyce Music & Worship Department invites you to join them at their semesterly concert for an evening set apart for praise! Together, we will lift our voices in thanks to God for His faithfulness and goodness throughout the semester. This special event will feature performances by Boyce College Choir, DOXOLOGY, and Boyce Worship Collective.

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary formally installed Andrew T. Walker as dean of the School of Theology during a chapel service on September 15, 2026, in Alumni Chapel. Walker, who assumed his duties Aug. 1, is the school’s 12th dean. He succeeds Hershael W. York, dean since 2018, who continues on the faculty as the Victor and Louise Lester Professor of Christian Preaching.

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary celebrated a decade of training Spanish-speaking ministers this fall by hosting Reconocidos por la Verdad (“Recognized by the Truth”), a conference marking the tenth anniversary of the seminary’s Online Hispanic Program. The gathering marked a milestone for Southern: the first conference in the seminary’s history conducted entirely in Spanish, from worship through every plenary session.

October 15–16, 2026 Boyce Preview is meant to edify and inform you – no matter how familiar you are with us. This premiere visit experience will give prospective students extensive time with faculty and staff. We will worship together, see the campus together, and you’ll have the chance to talk with almost every office on campus – from financial aid to academic departments. For just $25 per person, we’ll cover your meals and up to 2 nights of hotel lodging.

Be a Bulldog Day is a unique campus visit, ideal for high school juniors, seniors or transfer students who have already attended a Preview Day or Campus Visit, that gives prospective students the chance to experience life at Boyce first hand. You will have the chance to sit in on a class, tour campus, and spend extensive time with current students. You will get an insider’s view of campus housing as students volunteer their homes for you to stay in Friday night.

Join us for a special conversation with a former Muslim as we hear a personal story of faith, questions, and the journey toward following Christ. Boyce students may receive chapel credit for attending this event. Please RSVP so we can plan well for space and food. We look forward to seeing you!

Students entering a new season of preparation must refuse the counterfeit version of what God intends for them, said Southern Baptist Convention President Willy Rice in a chapel service at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

“The task of education, the task of teaching and learning, is an essentially theological task.” With that conviction, President R. Albert Mohler, Jr. set the terms for the Fall Convocation at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Boyce College, gathering faculty, students, trustees, and guests in Alumni Chapel to consecrate the academic year to the Lord. Mohler traced the seminary’s continuity with the medieval university, which emerged as a servant of the church.
