With their season over and a vacancy at the head of the front office, it’s time for the Philadelphia 76ers to think about who they should draft this summer. The Sixers mightily overachieved in the first round of the postseason when they shocked the world and came back from a three games-to-one deficit, but they still have a lot to ponder.

The Philadelphia Eagles brought plenty of intriguing talent during the NFL Draft but one of the more intriguing picks was fifth-round quarterback Cole Payton. A dual-threat from North Dakota State, Payton has a skill set that could be a weapon in the short term and a developmental project for the long haul. But some may believe that Payton’s ceiling could eventually threaten Jalen Hurts as a starting quarterback.

While that was a loss on the sideline, in the meeting room, and in the building, the Eagles also allowed cornerback Adoree' Jackson to hit free agency. After spending one year with the team, the Eagles decided they wanted to go in a different direction, signing cornerback Tariq Woolen in free agency.

The Philadelphia Eagles made several additions to the roster during the 2026 NFL Draft, but players will have different impacts, whether that's in 2026 or down the line. The Eagles drafted Makai Lemon and Eli Stowers with their first two picks, but it was the selection in the third round that is going under the radar. With the No. 68 overall pick, Philadelphia selected Miami OT Markel Bell. And while he's not being asked to start in 2026, last season showed how important reliable tackle depth is.

In an ideal world, the Philadelphia Eagles would keep A.J. Brown around for the remainder of his career. However, given the way things have trended over the past months, it's hard to believe that's a realistic possibility. As things stand now, it looks like the Eagles will trade Brown after June 2. There is zero reason to do anything until then, as trading Brown would then leave them with a massive dead cap hit.

Led by a duo of dynamic guards in budding superstar Tyrese Maxey and rookie sensation VJ Edgecombe, the team boasts two building blocks for the next version of “The Process.” As a result, the President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey, needs to surround his backcourt with the right players this summer who fit their timeline. This brings up the difficult conversation of trading away Joel Embiid this offseason.
