This includes translating a variety of election-related materials such as official in person and vote-by-mail ballots, sample ballots, registration forms and instructions, voter education materials, public notices, and online voting information. OpenAI’s new GPT-6.1 Sol has taken the top position in the translation ranking on RWS’s M-GATE benchmark, edging ahead of the company’s recently released GPT-6 Sol and flagship GPT-6 Astra models. OpenAI released GPT-6.1 Sol on September 29, 2026, only one week after launching GPT-6 Sol and Luna. The company described it as a major upgrade focused on agentic coding, computer use, and professional work, but did not publish translation or multilingual results.
