Society for News Design

Citing experimentation and the skilled integration of visuals, judges for the 47th edition of the Society for News Design’s Creative Competition, SND47, crowned Denmark’s Weekendavisen as World’s Best-Designed Print Newspaper and the New York Times as World’s Best-Designed Digital Presence. is the highest designation a publication may receive from SND and is awarded for overall excellence.

The Society for News Design’s (SND) Creative Competition is a juried contest that recognizes excellence in print and digital storytelling, graphics, illustration, social media, product design and more. The Creative Competition’s goal is to highlight work that pushes the boundaries of design and technology. By submitting, you help define the state of the art for our industry and all storytellers. All entries must have been published between Jan. 1, 2025 and Dec. 31, 2025.
