2003 was an interesting time in my wrestling fanhood – to me, it’s one of the greatest periods in wrestling history. That calendar year produced some of my favorite shows, including one of my favorite WrestleManias. But, there’s also that thing we do when we tend to look back on our own experiences more fondly. Was 2003 really that good? Would it hold up to the golden ages of wrestling? Or, do I just think that way because I was a young man finding my way in life through the WWE? Who’s to say?

Hello, and welcome in to the latest edition of Yankee Candle Reviews here on SoBros Network. I will be your host – the Fragrance Aficionado of SoBros Network, also the EIC, Stoney Keeley. My passion for Yankee Candle began in 2006, when I strolled into the location in Providence Marketplace in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. I picked up a jar of Autumn Woods, and found it captured the essence of the season perfectly.

I still think some of the stuff we did for the SoBros Network Patreon page is some of the best work we ever did. As I told you a couple of weeks ago, I have been flipping through the archives and reliving some of the glory days of SoBros Network. That’s where I came across this gem. A few years ago, we put together a full-on SoBros Network Holiday Special. It’s one of the things I’m most proud of – an hour and 15 minutes or so of nothing but SoBros Network bits.

Welcome into the kitchen at SoBros HQ – we’re takin’ some of our favorite things to make and sharing it with our most loyal readers (that’s you). Simple recipes, for easy, fulfilling dinners – that’s our aim with the SoBros Recipe Book. Alright, so this is the first installment of the SoBros Recipe Book that I can’t actually put in a SoBros Recipe Book should we ever actually publish one.

The Nashville Film Festival takes place from September 24-30, emanating from several venues across Nashville, Tennessee. Brandon and I preview the festival as a whole before Brandon discusses a few films he’s already seen that will be screening during the festival. Ah, yes – my favorite time of the year! Football season. If you’ve kept up with our work here on SoBros Network and Nashville Movie Dispatch throughout the years, you already know that we’re a pretty festive bunch. On Movie Review Rewind, I’m pretty sure we’ve talked about a football movie each September for the last five years or so. One that kept popping up as we sifted through Rudy and Remember the Titans alike was Any Given Sunday.

Here we are, folks – September 18th. This is my favorite time of the year, and it’s my favorite time of the year to camp. You don’t have to worry about it being too hot outside, but you don’t have to worry about wearing eight layers of clothes and sleeping with four of your buddies wrapped up in a tarp by the fire. There’s a nice middle ground here in September and really on into October here in Middle Tennessee, where it’s been known to stay warm on into November.

A Polish sausage in one hand. Deep fried cookie dough in the other. Leaving the fairgrounds, I notice how the days grow shorter.

Editor’s Note: I’ve always been proud of the fiction that the SoBros Network team has produced throughout the years, but The Widow’s Mountain always comes to mind right away when I think about our collection here. It was such an ambitious leap of faith at the time for its author, our good friend “Cadbury.” We didn’t have a whole lot of fiction on the site at the time, and I definitely hadn’t compiled a book of it.
