The South Florida Bulls are set to open the Brian Hartline era against FIU on Saturday, September 5th at 7 PM at Raymond James Stadium. The opener may appear to be a normal game one warm up, but it’s actually more dangerous than it appears on paper. FIU finished 2025 7-6 in Willie Simmons’ inaugural season, reaching its first bowl game since 2019. The Panthers will look to keep building on that momentum against the Bulls in 2026. The morning following South Florida’s victory over the Rice Owls, news broke that Head Coach Alex Golesh would be departing the program after three seasons to take the same position at Auburn University. Breaking: Alex Golesh will be the next head coach at Auburn, agreeing to a six-year deal, sources told @PeteThamel.

Looking to end the 2025 regular season on a high note, the South Florida Bulls hosted the Rice Owls on Nov. 29th in Tampa, Florida. It was Senior Night, and USF gave their home crowd quite the show. With the win, the Bulls improved to 9-3 on the season — including an undefeated season at home, their first since 2002. Offense South Florida’s offense did not waste any time getting started.
