Eco Innovation Challenge 2026 Award Winners
The Eco Innovation Challenge, presented by Chevron, empowers middle and high school students across the Greater Houston area to develop innovative, human-centered solutions that address real environmental challenges. Students explored two core pillars, Environmental Engineering and Sustainability, designing solutions connected to issues such as urban heat reduction, carbon capture, sustainable agriculture, waste reduction, water conservation, and environmental protection.
Lead like Astronauts
Who says kids get all the fun? At Space Center Houston we believe in inspiring explorers of all ages to pursue their dreams, step out of their comfort zone and dive into the unknown, because that’s where curiosity thrives! The Next Frontier of Summer Camps
This summer, we’re exploring our next frontier with Space U Odyssey, our new five-day STEM sleepaway experience for ages 11-17. Here, campers won’t just learn about space—they’ll live it, diving into hands-on programs inspired by real NASA missions alongside the timeless fun of summer camp at Camp Strake. From enjoying the great outdoors to exploring the great beyond. Space U Odyssey provides campers with an immersive experience fit for Space City.
Sensory Room Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting at Space Center Houston
Space Center Houston opened its new Sensory Room on April 17. The space was made possible by a donation from MegaStar Financial and its CEO, Anita Padilla-Fitzgerald. The addition marks a milestone in the organization’s commitment to its Access and Inspiration brand pillars. As a Certified Autism Center designated by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards, the sensory room will provide a supportive environment for neurodivergent guests and their families.
