ASHVILLE – During Monday morning’s meeting, the St. Clair County Commission approved moving forward with the Riverside Bridge project, while approving partnerships with the school systems for infrastructure improvements. An Odenville man serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole at Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer was reported as deceased in his cell Monday morning. Robert Earl Armbrust pleaded guilty to seven charges filed against him in St. Clair County Circuit Court in May of 2018 involving the rape and sodomy of a 3-year-old.
