Saturday provides Don Cowie and his playing squad an opportunity to return to home soil as Aberdeen travel along the A96 for our fourth William Hill Premiership clash of the season. The match has a different kick-off time than normal, with play commencing at 5:45 PM. The match is live on Premier Sports.

Ross County have used the free agent market to sign former Southampton academy star Josh Sims. Sims has been without a club for six months after being released upon the expiry of his deal. He had joined the Saints academy from Portsmouth and spent 10 years there, reaching the senior squad and being loaned out to various clubs. He has had some injury troubles, including a hamstring issue and a strange leg injury initially thought to be a nerve problem.

Ross County are preparing for their biggest game of the season on Saturday, and not in the way you might expect. The Staggies’ upcoming clash with Aberdeen is not a relegation decider, but a last gasp attempt to infiltrate the top 6 before the Scottish Premiership splits and the door slams shut. Aberdeen are one of Scotland’s biggest clubs in stature, but have been misfiring all season.

Following the announcement of contract extensions for seven Ross County players in March, it has been revealed that Connor Randall and Ben Paton have become the latest of Malky Mackay’s men to sign new contracts with the club. Randall, who has been with the Staggies for nearly two years, has agreed a deal that will see him stay at the club until at least 2024, while Paton has extended his deal by one year until 2023, as it was due to expire at the end of this season.
