LEWISBURG — A 53-year-old Philadelphia man has been charged with multiple counts after allegedly assaulting a woman and later urinating on the walls at the Buffalo Valley Regional Police Department (BVRPD). Antoine Stone has been charged with felony strangulation, robbery and institutional vandalism, along with misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats, receiving stolen property, theft and prohibited offensive weapons. The charges were filed by Buffalo Valley Cpl.

MILTON — The president of the Milton Area School District school board recently graduated from the U.S. Army’s Warrant Officer School. Joel Harris was recognized by Superintendent Dr. John Bickhart during Tuesday’s school board committee session for his latest military accomplishment. Bickhart opened his remarks by noting that Harris joined the U.S. Army in February 2005, when he was 17 years old.

MIFFLINBURG — The Mifflinburg Area School Board approved an artificial intelligence (AI) curriculum for middle schoolers with an 8-1 vote on Tuesday, after the board removed parts of the course related to bias and equity. Board President Tom Eberhart and members Brandon Straub, Mindy Benfer, Brandon Hommel, Timothy Scholl, Tyler Snook, Melissa Wagner and Troy Zimmerman voted in favor of the amended curriculum, while Carl Emery opposed it.

MILTON — Andy Frederick credits his years in Cub Scouts for teaching him all sorts of invaluable life skills that he still uses today.
