WPBI-LD, virtual and UHF digital channel 16, is a low-powered dual Fox/NBC-affiliated television station licensed to Lafayette, Indiana, United States. Owned by Star City Broadcasting, LLC, a partnership between Waypoint Media and upstate New York-based Vision Communications, it is a sister station to ABC affiliate WPBY-LD (channel 35) and radio stations WAZY-FM, WBPE, WSHY and WYCM. The six stations share studios on South 18th Street in Lafayette;[2][3] WPBI-LD's transmitter is located on McCarty Lane on the city's east side. The signal is oriented to the northwest.[4] On cable and satellite, WPBI-LD1 is available on Comcast Xfinity channel 16, Metronet channel 11, and Dish Network channel 59; WPBI-LD2 is carried on Xfinity channel 17, Metronet channel 12, and Dish Network channel 13.[5] Source

Indiana man arrested after sharing sexual abuse material with Pennsylvania child
The Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force have arrested a Pittsboro man for possession of child sexual abuse material. Officials say the investigation began in Pennsylvania when a man discovered sexual abuse material on his kid’s social media. Pennsylvania State Police were led to a suspect in Pittboro, Indiana. Investigators say 24-year-old James Hollaway was sharing child sexual abuse material with the child from Pennsylvania. ICAC Detectives used forensic evidence to make an arrest on Sept.
Police investigate pursuit turned officer-involved shooting in Winamac
The Indiana State Police Lafayette Post is currently investigating a pursuit that ended with a shooting in Winamac. Officials say about 1:30 p.m., a Monon Police officer was dispatched to the VanGuard facility in Monon for a disturbance complaint. The officer observed a Chevrolet Colorado believed to be involved with the disturbance, but when he attempted to stop the vehicle, it fled eastbound on State Road 16.
West Lafayette PD’s Scott Fohr retires after nearly four decades of service
After nearly four decades of service, a West Lafayette Police Department veteran is retiring. Scott Fohr began his career in law enforcement in 1987. He spent 27 years as a West Lafayette police officer, retiring as a lieutenant of patrol in 2014. But his service didn’t end there. Fohr continued working with the department as a police dispatcher for nearly 12 more years. The department thanked Fohr for his years of service, dedication and commitment to the West Lafayette community.
Autopsy reports man in officer-involved shooting died of self-inflicted gunshot wound
After a pursuit turned into an officer-involved shooting in Winamac on Sept. 16, the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post opened an investigation. According to the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office, the deceased man was identified as Keith C. Ernest, 56, of Winamac. A preliminary report indicated the cause-of-death was a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. This investigation is ongoing.
