The Bureau of Budget and Planning (BP, formerly the Bureau of Resource Management) carries out the principal responsibilities of preparing and submitting the Department's budget requests, managing the Department's operational resource requirements, and ensuring that operational planning and performance management is synchronized with the Department's resource requirements. BP also coordinates with the Office of U.S. Foreign Assistance Resources in developing policies, plans, and programs to achieve foreign policy goals. Source

Further Sanctions on the Cuban Regime’s Sources of Funding and Tools of Oppression
Today, the Department of State is designating ten entities to further the Trump Administration’s comprehensive push to end the Cuban regime’s malign activities, both in Cuba and across our hemisphere. These actions target interlocking pillars of that apparatus: state-owned entities that funnel revenue to the regime and paramilitary forces, armed civilian groups, and surveillance organizations that repress the Cuban people.
Sanctioning Ransomware Enablers in Coordinated International Action
Today, the United States sanctioned one entity and two individuals — First VPN Service (1VPNS), its administrator Dmytro Rashevskyi, and Yegeniy Vladimirovich Silayev — for providing critical support to ransomware groups that have targeted American hospitals, schools, businesses, and local governments.

Five Years After the July 11 Demonstrations, Cubans Deserve A Better Future
Five years ago, thousands of Cubans took to the streets to demand a better future for themselves and their families, seeking change after decades of repression and economic incompetence by the Communist regime. True to form, the regime responded with brutality, beating peaceful demonstrators in the streets and arresting thousands of everyday Cubans. To this day, hundreds of Cubans remain unjustly detained for the simple sin of asking for basic rights, opportunities, and dignity.
