A man was found shot to death at a gas station on St. Croix Wednesday night, according to a V.I. Police Department report issued Thursday morning. Police were alerted to the incident just before 10 p.m. Wednesday by a concerned citizen who reported a gunshot victim on the ground at the Titan Service Station in LaGrande Princess, the report stated. Emergency medical technicians arrived shortly after to assess him for signs of life and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. has signed legislation directing money to homeownership programs, establishing a women veterans coordinator and setting immunization requirements for students while vetoing a separate measure that included changes to the territory’s gun laws, Government House announced Wednesday. Bryan acted on a series of bills passed by the 36th Legislature during its Aug. 26 session, according to the Government House press release.
