A celebration of America 250 is planned for July 4th in Mountain View, beginning with a parade on Main Street at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., the Stone County Historical Society will present a program of music, recognition of revolutionary descendants, patriotic selections by the Mountain View High School Band ensemble, dedication of a Liberty Tree, special music by elementary students, a patriotic salute to The Declaration of Independence, and a flag retirement ceremony.
