Since I’ll be due to take a bit of a break soon with our first baby due THIS WEEK (I say first, second to our 10 year old whippet Mabel) I wanted to give you a good-n-juicy, very ‘me’ article, before I pop / pop offline for a while. Finding a brand not everyone might know about, a one-off item, or just something that looks so special to me that I get a little sweat on with excitement (just me?) is what I do, have always done and, I’d say, do best.

Yep, it’s another hot, hot, HOT heatwave week and here I am giving you some early autumn coats/jackets. It’s a sickness. It’s not my fault. My lifelong dream is to one day own a very long, very beautifully designed, very evenly spaced coat cupboard (not a crumpled coat or a double garment on one hanger in sight!). Just for my coats. No one else’s allowed. So! Without further ado here’s the puppies I’ve already got my eye on and just had to show you.

‘ello ‘ello! Our never ending summer heatwave is continuing on ain’t it, to clarify, I am not complaining! But, if one more (well meaning) person asks me how I’m coping in the heat, then I will start to have complaints (I love the sun, okay! We’re all hot, it’s 30+ degrees in a sweaty city!). Since it’s too hot to work, most of us are on August breaks and, in my case, a suddenly giant bump is too hot to handle, lets get straight into the GOOD STUFF shall we.

Don’t get me wrong I love those big bandana bags from Call It By Your Name, I’m sure you know the ones I’m talking about? The epitome of French girl style (they are a French brand) for groceries, gym, pram, picnic, everything bag. I did in fact even buy one (the medium quilted tote | £265)… but I just couldn’t justify the price for the product.

Earlier this week I saw this summer shorts styling from one of my wardrobe / business / life muses @blancamiro. And I desperately wanted the shorts! Great colours right? And they could take you from sports to seaside, well, they could if the brand were tagged (don’t you hate that?). I worried they may have been a summer holiday purchase, that you can only find at a once monthly market on a far flung tiny Greek island.

Keeping it a bit simpler this week, the heat is getting to us all, and I’ve been thinking a lot lately about life / work / what’s coming up - baby, next month! / what’s next - own brand I’ve been working on all this year / how to take a break - which the baby will enforce on me. Anyway, my shopping radar is always ON! And, yes, life is about to change, but I can’t imagine this changing. So, we’ve got my shopping list this week - and yes, this is just from this week (do I have an illness?

Okay, I’ve got FOUR brands I’ve just discovered in the last week or so, all of which I bloody love. You know when you get genuinely excited by something? I love that feeling: the have to haves! I’m going to break them down for you and give you one at a time, I sometimes worry things get lost with too much product overwhelm and too much to read in here (I know I like a natter).

Hola! Shall I begin by addressing the elephant in the (online) roomā€¦ some of you may follow me on Instagram and have seen this, but I had to bite the bullet and let the world (I laugh, my 63k social following) in on a little surprise whilst I was awayā€¦ Since I always love to share some holiday looks, itā€™s far too obvious not to mention Iā€™ve got a tiny sea creature along for the ride! Mermaid or merman due August.

You know of Tekla, right? The Danish brand of cool, contemporary striped towels. In those perfect, paired back colour combo’s. I always think of them for their towels (probably as I’ve wanted some since forever) but there’s bedding, robes, PJ’s - everything you want to lounge in comfort in, in striped perfection. I LOVE them, but they’re far too pricey for me (I cannot / will not ever want to spend hundreds on towels)… That is a great Tekla blue mind. But, £100 for ONE bath sheet size towel.

Hola! I may be Spain side when this goes out, so I’ll keep this intro short-n-sweet. Enjoy this little mix of those bits and bobs from my brain, all of great importance, obviously, when are pretty, charming (hint there) things not? Look out for the fish charm! And the turquoise. The brand going from strength to strength. The holiday reads I’ve got with me. The looks-designer-skirt for £80. And dress for that matter, for £30! And the best sale buy bikini - I can confirm it is the perfect green. Sigh.
