But, just like J. Jonah Jameson, we know that something’s not quite right with that masked menace, and we’re determined to get to the bottom of the latest Marvel mystery box.

Supanova Comic Con & Gaming’s return to Adelaide (30 October – 1 November 2026) and Brisbane (6-8 November 2026) is fast approaching, promising Supa-Fans three action-packed days of ‘levelled up’ fandom fun. Hot on the heels of their first wave of celebrity guest announcements, Supanova has revealed the latest Supa-Stars to join the upcoming fellowship.

As if it wasn’t an already exciting time to be a Marvel fan, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day swinging into cinemas next week, and the countdown timer for the much-anticipated Avengers: Doomsday shrinking ever closer to zero. Last week, Marvel Australia officially launched the ‘Marvel Stadium Walk of Legends’, an installation that gives fans the opportunity to pose with their favourite Marvel characters, who have been enshrined as plaques along the concourse outside Gate 4 of Marvel Stadium.

For many fans, recent Supa-Fans Jed Brophy is synonymous with Middle-earth. Across The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, he brought to life dwarves, orcs, soldiers and countless other characters. But his career stretches far beyond Tolkien, from New Zealand theatre stages to cult horror classics and independent films. During his appearance at Supanova Comic Con & Gaming in Sydney this year, we caught up with him to discuss his life, career, and his deep connection to New Zealand.

Sébastien Vaniček, director of Evil Dead Burn, isn’t interested in playing it safe with the newest instalment in the long-running horror franchise. “I want to disturb, I want to shock, I want to hurt the audience,” he says. Once the credits roll, you’ll know he succeeded. Supanova was lucky enough to speak with Vaniček ahead of the film’s release in Australian cinemas on July 9. Vaniček hails from France, a country responsible for some of the finest horror films of the past two decades.

Australian filmmaker Luke Sparke is used to taking bold risks to fulfil his creative vision. His last project, Primitive War, a film adaptation of the titular novel by Ethan Pettus, proved to be a worldwide phenomenon and a viral internet sensation, unleashing dinosaurs into the Vietnam War on the big screen last year. Primitive War fans know the impact these prehistoric creatures had on the Vietnam War, but what would happen if they existed in another unlikely time period, like the Wild West?

The Deadites are rising again! The latest installment of the Evil Dead franchise is set to terrify audiences once more with Evil Dead Burn. Described as a ‘family reunion from Hell’, the film follows a grieving wife who returns home to her family to seek solace, only to come under attack by the Deadites.

Silo is back with more stories for us to uncover and connect. In the finale of Season 2 of Silo, Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson), against all odds, returns to Silo 18 in the aftermath of the rebellion. Then we travel 300 years back in time, and we’re introduced to two new characters: Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) and journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) on their “date”.
