DHL Express has launched a new international service that lets U.S. businesses ship items weighing up to 6,600 pounds with express delivery. What’s Related Heavy Weight Express, or HWX, accepts individual pieces weighing up to 2,200 pounds. The service is available through DHL’s network of more than 220 countries and territories. DHL said the service is intended for large, urgent shipments that are too heavy for standard express delivery.

MHI has set the dates for two MODEX trade shows in 2028, including the event’s return to Atlanta and its first show in Las Vegas. SK hynix has broken ground on a $4 billion advanced chip-packaging plant in West Lafayette, Indiana, to produce memory for artificial intelligence systems. Walmart plans to invest $1.3 billion in a new automated fulfillment center in Carnesville, Georgia, that will create 1,000 jobs. What’s Related The 1.5 million-square-foot building will be located at the Franklin 85 Logistics Center in Franklin County, about 85 miles northeast of Atlanta. Construction is expected to begin in late 2026, according to the announcement from Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp's office. Walmart did not say when the center is expected to open.

ShipStation has added less-than-truckload freight shipping to the same platform its customers use to manage parcel shipments. LTL shipping is generally used for loads too large for parcel delivery but not large enough to require an entire truck.

Walmart is expanding its restaurant delivery business through a new partnership with Dunkin’ parent Inspire Brands. Customers will be able to order Dunkin’ beverages and food through the Walmart app or Walmart.com, including from restaurants located outside Walmart stores.
