Watch highlights from Sutton’s 2-0 defeat to Tamworth.

Chris Agutter admitted Sutton were deservedly beaten by Tamworth after a disappointing performance, but insists they will respond when they return to action at Kidderminster Harriers (Saturday, 3rd October; 3pm KO). The Head Coach had few complaints about the result, believing the Lambs imposed themselves on the contest and were dominant for much of the evening. “Tamworth are deserved winners. Straightforward, to be honest,” Agutter said. “We didn’t deserve anything out of the game.

An evening that started badly with midfielder Charlie Carter limping out of the warm-up got no better for Sutton as two goals in the first seven minutes of the second half consigned them to defeat and lifted Tamworth out of the bottom four in the Enterprise National League.

Chris Agutter has made two changes from Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Forest Green Rovers, with Besart Topallaj and Charlie Bell coming in for Toby Byron and Charlie Carter ahead of tonight’s clash with Tamworth (7:45pm KO). Spike Brits remains between the sticks with the back four in front of him consisting of Dan Urpens, Will Nightingale, Topallaj and Ben Brookes, while captain Jake Taylor starts again with Joe Knight alongside him, as the pair continue to build a strong partnership.
