Agutter: “We’ve Been Really Solid”
Chris Agutter praised Sutton United’s continued progress during pre-season after a 2-0 victory over Horsham. Temi Babalola’s stunning overhead kick and composed finish in the first half secured the win, but Agutter was equally pleased with the defensive resilience his side showed against strong National League South opposition. “It was a really good workout,” he said. “We started slowly and Spike [Brits[ made a couple of really good saves.
Report: Sutton United 2-0 Horsham
Sutton claimed a second win of the pre-season programme as two first half goals from Temi Babalola, the first a piece of stunning individual brilliance and the second a fine team goal, were enough to beat a Horsham side who had their moments, particularly in the first half, but on more than one occasion paid the penalty for taking too long for getting a shot away.

Chris Agutter has named his starting XI for today’s pre-season fixture at home to Horsham, with three changes to the side that drew with Walton & Hersham last time out. Charlie Carter drops out of the side entirely after being taken off as a precaution on Tuesday night, and has been replaced by Will Nightingale, who makes his first start for the club since signing following his departure from Aldershot Town.

Hospitality: First Five Game On Sale
Matchday hospitality for Sutton’s first five home games are now available to purchase via our ticketing site. With the 2026/27 Enterprise National League season set to get underway in a little over three weeks time, supporters can now secure a seat in hospitality for the U’s clashes with Altrincham, Hartlepool United, Wealdstone, Scunthorpe United and Eastleigh.
Fixtures: Sutton United Women’s 2026/27 Schedule Revealed
Sutton United Women will begin the 2026/27 league season with a trip to Aylesford on Sunday 23 August. The U’s then welcome Ashford Town (Middx) for our opening home fixture on Sunday 30 August, before travelling to Eastbourne Borough the following weekend. A meeting with Bromley follows on Sunday 13 September, with the venue still to be confirmed, before attention turns to the second qualifying round of the Women’s FA Cup.
