Designing and Delivering the Workshop Learning resources – whether they come in the form of books, articles, slides, images or video/audio content – have always played an essential role within the teaching and learning process. Talis Elevate - Looking back over the last academic year
As we start to approach the summer, we would like to celebrate all the wonderful things academics and students have been doing using Talis Elevate this academic year – and look back on the product development Talis made to improve and enhance the academic and student experience when using Talis Elevate. Student and academic activity Over the last year, academics, like yourselves, have created spaces for nearly 100,000 students to learn, collaborate, and find their voice using Talis Elevate.
Introducing APAC Community Discussion Sessions
Have you ever wondered how another university is using Talis Aspire? What types of problems are they solving using the system? How are they engaging academics? This is the simple premise behind our newly formed APAC Community Discussion sessions. Earlier this year, Talis ran its annual Insight Asia-Pacific event online. The last session of the event was run by our Talis Aspire User Group representatives who facilitated an open discussion on the ways in which users utilise Talis Aspire.
Talis Elevate: Sharing successes from our community
We’ve recently launched our Teach Learn Collaborate Repeat Pedagogy Panel to help our Talis Elevate community share their advice and best practice with others from across the sector. We’ve been lucky to be joined by academics from across institutions and disciplines, and every one of our panellists have used Elevate in their own unique way. It’s been truly inspiring to share the successes of these users. We want to continue to share these successes in as many ways as we can.

Reflections on our inaugural Pedagogy Panel
We’ve seen so many successful uses of Talis Elevate in learning and teaching, and we’re always looking to share those accomplishments. That’s why we’ve launched a new monthly discussion series, the TLCR Pedagogy Panel, where Talis Elevate users and academics using Talis Elevate with SAGE Catalyst books are invited to join us and share how they’ve used social annotation, the steps they’ve taken to ensure their success, and any reflections they have on the process as a whole.
Why will Technology from SAGE Insight 2023 have the same feel as Talis Insight
Back in Feb 2013 I attended my first Talis Aspire User Group at the University of Kent, we had recently adopted Talis Aspire at the University of Leicester, and this was my first opportunity to meet the team behind the product and other fellow users. I was struck straight away by the friendliness of everyone and found it hard to distinguish between Talis employees and attendees.
