As these fringe subject repeatedly intersect, friend of the show and independent research Bo (not Bo Gritz) has volunteered to share his findings on the history of Soldier of Fortune magazine, a publication run by a spook adventurist for other spook adventurists. Foundational to the beginning of the militia and patriot movements, SOF’shistory is as strange, contradictory, unbelievable, and frustrating, as it is important to understanding our present cultural moment.

Cystic Detective and Moira make their way through the industrial district, psychic wires crossed, the telephone lines leading nowhere. “If you’re worried that your psycho-sink abilities will sink you too deep, what are you doing here?” Moira questioned. Cystic Detective struggled to form an answer. “I thought the streams brought me to you. I must admit amnesia of a sort.” He spoke the truth.

Today, Tanner gets his nostalgia goggles on, reminiscing about his time in the wonderful city of St. Louis. Guest Devin Thomas O'Shea, thankfully, brings things back down to clear-cut historical reality, where that beauty is retained but a certain ugliness is addressed.
