Research from Konica Minolta Australia has found that 56% of Australian organisations and 52% of New Zealand organisations experienced a print-related security incident during the past 12 months, highlighting significant gaps in print security governance despite continued investment in cybersecurity across networks, endpoints and cloud environments.

AI data cloud company Snowflake has introduced an AI gateway solution designed to act as the connective layer for trusted agent activity, while allowing users to monitor the costs of AI use. Cortex AI Gateway enables enterprise users to control which models, data, applications, Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and tools each AI agent can access. At launch, the platform is offering support for more than 100 MCP servers.

Observability platform provider Dynatrace has announced enhancements to its Dynatrace Intelligence agentic operations system aimed at helping its customers automatically resolve incidents and prevent disruptions. The company is adding additional autonomous agents for incident triage and remediation, as well as no-code custom agent creation capabilities.

Databricks has extended its decade-long partnership with Microsoft into the 2030s. Under the agreement, Databricks will deepen its use of Azure Databricks to run core business operations and power its unified lakehouse. The collaboration will also see Databricks leverage Microsoft’s next-generation Arm-based infrastructure Azure Cobalt to improve performance and efficiency.

AI-generated code introduces an average of 15 confirmed vulnerabilities per codebase, research published by Secure Code Warrior indicates. An evaluation of 1760 complete codebases generated by 16 popular AI models found that on average, 4.3 of these vulnerabilities are considered severe. The analysis identified 86 unique Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) vulnerabilities, with the most common CWEs involving logging failures, injection vulnerabilities, insecure design and broken access control.

The federal government’s Small to Medium Enterprise Centre of AI (SMEC AI) has launched an AI information line aimed at providing Australian SMEs with practical assistance on adopting AI within their operations. The service was unveiled at an event co-hosted with the National AI Centre on Tuesday. The information line is being operated under the government’s AI Adopt program and will provide free advice on using AI to its full potential.
