After all, children are already using AI. Whether it’s ChatGPT helping with homework, AI-powered search engines answering questions or tools generating images and videos, young people are growing up alongside technology that many adults are still trying to understand.

OpenAI is betting $6.5 billion that the future of computing looks nothing like your phone. By acquiring Jony Ive’s startup, io, the company is doubling down on its partnership with LoveFrom to build a new generation of hardware designed specifically for the AI era. Instead of shoehorning intelligence into existing laptops and handsets, they have their sights set on a completely new family of devices. The exact design is still a work in progress.

AI Appreciation Day took place yesterday, inviting people to celebrate a technology that exists in our everyday lives. The annual event says it is dedicated to the humane treatment, thoughtful development and conscious celebration of AI. The event leaves many people asking if the public should appreciate AI or spend more time learning how it works. Many digital tools have become essential over the years, but very few have their own appreciation day.

You mentioned that Hoxton Mix wasn’t originally meant to be a virtual office business. At what point did you realise the company was solving a much bigger problem than you first expected? The turning point came when we realised people weren’t just renting desks from us – they wanted the infrastructure to run a business without the cost and commitment of a traditional office.

Going through entry level job adverts can be very draining for many teenagers -especially when one advert says “entry level” but asks for two years of experience. Another calls itself an internship but lists a long checklist of skills that many school leavers have never had the chance to learn. Then comes the application itself, which can end in silence without even an email to say no.

While hedge fund managers are responsible for deciding how money is invested, hedge fund analysts are the people gathering the information, testing investment ideas and helping determine whether an opportunity is even worth pursuing in the first place.
