The elected board for UKC3 is made up of Cyber Cluster leads from across the UK who will help drive forward initiatives aimed at growing the cyber sector in the UK. UK Cyber Cluster Collaboration (UKC3) has announced its newly elected board.

Now it’s not just an important era for cybersecurity, it’s also a great time to join the sector. These two go hand in hand, as the demand, fast pace, and variety of work all contribute to why it is the perfect time to get involved. Kelly says, “The environment is constantly changing; something’s always new. You think you’ve got a really great solution and then the next thing comes out. The speed and pace make it extremely exciting – it’s never boring.

This year, the core theme is modern-day national infrastructure programs, which are often comprised of critical software-intensive systems. The aim is to understand how early decisions around cyber-physical system architectures and adopting effective software development lifecycles and verification techniques will later impact defect rates and maintainability. However, the challenge for such large-scale and long-term systems is multi-faceted.
