Xplora buys back 500,000 shares to fulfil staff and management incentive schemes Xplora Technologies said it has completed a scheme to buy back up to 500,000 of its own shares for a maximum of NOK 25 million to support its staff share and management incentive programmes. Following the completion, Xplora holds 539,401 of its own shares. On 16 September, there were 47.85 million Xplora shares, according to its website. The buyback had been announced on 08 September this year.

Openreach says Liverpool leading major UK cities for digital migration New data from Openreach show that Liverpool is leading major UK cities in the move to digital phone services, with only 6.35 percent of legacy lines left to migrate before the copper PSTN network is switched off at end-January 2027. It is followed in the top five cities by Manchester (7.35%), Sheffield (7.55%), Cardiff (8.35%) and Leeds (8.62%).

Telia Norway brings out Trygg family cybersecurity service with F-Secure Telia Norway has announced the launch of a cybersecurity service called Telia Trygg Familie, which provides extra protection, alerts and insurance for up to eight people. After a three-month free trial period, Telia Trygg Familie costs NOK 249 per month. Protection is provided in conjunction with F-Secure, while Tryg Forsikring provides insurance cover and assistance if anything does go wrong.

Sweden's new Digitisation Authority gets logo Swedish telecoms regulator PTS has presented the logo for the new, joint watchdog that starts up on 01 January 2027 when PTS merges with the Digital Governance Agency (Digg) to form the Digitisation Authority (Digitaliseringsmyndigheten). The logo includes a heraldic coat of arms developed with the State Heraldry at the National Archives. It depicts a crown and a shield shaped like the letter 'D' in 'digitisation'.
