Philips have recently introduced an ultrawide 34” curved VA LCD panel into the professional market. The 34B2U5900C, part of their 5000 series, boasts a native 5120 x 2160 “5K2K” resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, which can be doubled to 240Hz using a dual-mode function when dropping to a lower 2560 x 1080 resolution, providing you with the flexibility to switch between sharper visuals and face-paced performance.

BenQ ZOWIE have recently launched their new XQ esports monitor series which they say are aimed at Battle Royale competition. The line-up includes the XQ2566X and the XQ2766X which are 24” and 27” in size respectively, and feature a newly developed ‘Fast TN’ panel with a 2560 x 1440 resolution and 360Hz refresh rate.

The official product page on Dell.com has now appeared for the eagerly anticipated Alienware AW3926QW, in Korea at least for now. No sign of other regional pages yet, but it presumably won’t be too far behind. Eizo have unveiled two new curved ultrawide screens in their premium FlexScan line-up, aimed at professional users with a focus on productivity and long-term reliability. The flagship EV3851X model is a (now very rare) 37.5” ultrawide screen with a 2300R curvature and is built around an IPS LCD technology panel with a 3840 x 1600 resolution, whilst the EV3451X utilises the same IPS panel whilst offering a 34” ultrawide sized screen, a 3800R curvature and a 3440 x 1440 resolution.

ViewSonic have unveiled the world’s first 23.8” sized monitor with a 3840 x 2160 “4K” resolution. The VX24G26J-4K, part of their budget friendly VX line-up, will feature a ‘Fast IPS’ LCD panel and 160Hz refresh rate so you won’t have to compromise between resolution and speed. It also features a ‘Nano Obsidian Screen’, an anti-reflective technology resulting in a sleek matte finish with low reflectivity.
