Russian State Duma Elections Held at Consulate General in Karachi
KARACHI, September 20, 2026: Elections for the ninth convocation of the Russian State Duma were held at the Consulate General of Russia in Karachi on Sunday, allowing Russian citizens residing in or visiting Pakistan to participate in the parliamentary vote. The polling was conducted under the supervision of Andrey Fedorov, Consul General of Russia in Karachi. Russia’s 2026 State Duma election was scheduled for September 20, with voting taking place over September 18–20.
Naval Chief Reviews Exercise SEASPARK 2026 at Sea and Creeks
RAWALPINDI, September 20, 2026: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, visited naval units at sea and in the Creeks Area to review Exercise SEASPARK 2026, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday. The biennial exercise has been underway since September 1. It rehearses a broad range of maritime operations and tests the Pakistan Navy’s operational preparedness.

Five Terrorists Killed, 23 Abductees Recovered Near Kalat: ISPR
QUETTA: Five terrorists were killed and 23 abductees were recovered during a security operation near Kalat, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday. According to the military’s media wing, the incident occurred on the night of September 18–19, 2026, along the Pakistan Highway (N-25), which connects Chaman and Karachi. ISPR said terrorists belonging to what it described as Fitna al-Hindustan had established a check post near Kalat.
